The place we could call our last sanctuary in life, is the Internet. We enter it to seek freedom in many ways. Even though we travel amongst millions of other people, we are alone, tucked in our own private worlds, sharing as little or as much as we would like. Now the government thinks it’s necessary to get a piece of that freedom. The States will be able to collect between 5 percent and 14 percent in taxes. This is an outrage, 14% is ridiculous. Tax on cigarettes is that high, with just cause, why is the Internet being treated like something that is harming our bodies.
